Stop BSNL FTTH redirecting unsecure links to malicious websites.

If you are a BSNL broadband user, especially FTTH fiber internet, and you often run into malicious websites while trying to open non-HTTPS websites, then you are not alone. This issue has been discussing all over the internet for at least the past 5 years or so. Many claims that the malicious content is being injected from BSNL servers while several others claim it is happening within the router.

I don't know what exactly is causing this but in my case, I was able to solve this by updating the firmware of the router. YOU SHOULD NEVER USE UPDATED FIRMWARE FILES FROM THE INTERNET UNLESS IT IS FROM THE MANUFACTURER'S OFFICIAL WEBSITE.

There are high chances that the firmware files people post in various forms might have been modified by hackers to their own advantage. Therefore, never use an update file from an unknown source for any device for that matter.

You can visit the website of the OEM of your router to get the firmware update files.
